Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 10, 2026

SEC Radar is an evidence-first transaction intelligence tool designed to parse and extract structured facts from public SEC EDGAR filings. This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you use the SEC Radar application.

1. Information We Process

When you submit a request for analysis, the application processes:

  • Submitted SEC URLs: The web addresses of public SEC filings you submit for analysis.
  • Filing Form Types: The form classification selected (such as 424B5, S-3, or S-1).

2. How Analysis Works

When an SEC filing URL is submitted, server-side code retrieves the public document directly from official SEC EDGAR infrastructure (www.sec.gov), normalizes the text, extracts relevant transaction facts, and attaches verbatim evidence citations.

3. Data Storage and Retention

SEC Radar operates statelessly in memory during request execution:

  • We do not require or maintain user accounts or login credentials.
  • We do not maintain a database of user profiles, search histories, or submitted filings.
  • We do not set tracking cookies or embed third-party advertising analytics scripts.
  • If an error occurs during filing processing, server-side diagnostics (console.error) may record error details to assist with operational debugging.
  • Standard web hosting server logs (such as IP address, request timestamp, HTTP method, and user-agent) may be recorded by hosting infrastructure (Vercel) for operational health, rate limiting, and security monitoring.

4. Third-Party SEC Infrastructure

Document retrieval relies on public SEC EDGAR servers operated by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Server-side requests to SEC servers transmit an identifying User-Agent string in compliance with SEC EDGAR fair-access guidelines.

5. Contact Information

For questions regarding SEC Radar or its technical operation, please contact the project maintainers through official repository administrative channels.
